Where Effort Meets Excellence

The Lab’s soccer program is built for players who want more—more precision, more development, and more impact on the field. Led by experienced coaches with collegiate and professional backgrounds, our program goes beyond drills. We focus on technical skill, positional IQ, physical performance, and the mental edge needed to play at the next level. Whether you're a young player building your foundation or an elite athlete preparing for college or pro, every session at The Lab is built with purpose.

Our Coaching Philosophy

At The Lab, we develop more than just soccer players—we build complete athletes. Our coaching approach blends elite technical training with strength, speed, agility, and mindset work to prepare players for the full demands of the game.

We believe in doing things the right way—every rep, every detail, every decision. We hold high standards and teach athletes to lead themselves through accountability, effort, and awareness. Our sessions are designed to challenge players mentally and physically, pushing them to grow with intention.

We value communication, consistency, and coachability—and we lead with purpose and passion. When players feel seen, supported, and empowered, their growth becomes unstoppable. At The Lab, we’re not just building better players—we’re raising the standard of what it means to train like one.

Abbey is dedicated to helping female athletes optimize their mental and physical performance.

With over a decade of experience in sports performance, Abbey has worked with athletes at every level, from youth to collegiate and professional. She holds a degree in Health Science from Portland State University and is a certified NASM trainer with a Sports Performance Enhancement Specialisation as well as a certified NSCA Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

As a former Division 1 soccer player, Abbey’s experience overcoming a career-altering injury shaped her deep commitment to resilience, mental toughness, and sports performance. Her own journey in injury prevention, rehab, and returning to the field fueled her passion for empowering athletes to unlock their full potential. She loves working with female athletes, offering a blend of mental and physical training that sets them up for success both on and off the field. Abbey continued her athletic journey at Portland State University from 2013-2016, where she became a 3-year starter and captain for the women’s soccer team. Throughout her college career, she earned several all-conference honors, including Freshman of the Year in 2013 for her standout debut season. Abbey is grateful for the experiences that sports have given her and is dedicated to passing on the lessons she learned throughout her own journey onto the next generation of female athletes.

Born and raised in the Tumwater area, Abbey is a proud alumni of Tumwater High School. As a tri-sport athlete during her time at Tumwater High, she excelled in soccer, basketball, and track, but her passion for soccer took precedence. Through soccer she competed at the highest levels. Abbey was a top 15 collegiate recruit, winning Youth National Championships and participating at the state, regional, and national ODP/EDP levels. She also played for Washington Premier’s ECNL team, gaining invaluable experience competing against the best teams and players all over the nation. After her athletic career, Abbey has been training athletes and has returned to Tumwater High School to take on the role of Head Coach for the Tumwater Thunderbirds Girls Soccer Program. She wore the infamous Tumwater green proudly as a player and continues to wear it proudly as a coach.

Outside of coaching, Abbey is an avid reader, a self-proclaimed foodie and coffee connoisseur who enjoys staying active, spending time with her dog Rocky, and embracing her competitive side through game nights with friends and family.
